Carlota "Carly" Rodriguez-Sanchez

Carlota Rodriguez-Sanchez, age 81, of Bayonne, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 14, 1944, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she lived a life grounded in love, kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Carly was known for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and valued. She dedicated her life to raising her family, touching countless lives with her compassion and wisdom. She especially treasured time spent with family, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and comfort.

She is survived by her husband, Ruben Mercado; children, Mary, Teresa, Nancy, and Ruben Jr.; grandchildren, Cherisse, Jasmine, Roland, Matthew, Jasmine, Jonathan, Michael Justin, Julia, and Destiny; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Caden, Malik, Zuri, Zoe, Enzo, and Mars; and in-laws, Blanca, James, Michael, and Miguel, who will cherish her memory forever. 

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Dworzański & Son Funeral Home, 20 East 22nd Street, Bayonne, NJ.

Though she will be deeply missed, Carly's legacy of love, strength, and grace will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
