Constance E. Goasevski (Orre) entered into eternal rest peacefully, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, after battling health issues for the past several years. Born in Opheim, Montana, she met her husband Bill, who was stationed there with the United States Air Force. They married and moved to Bayonne where she resided for the rest of her life.
“Connie,” as everyone knew her, worked in the food and hospitality industry as a waitress in the executive dining rooms at AT&T, Prudential, Western Electric, and the Hi-Hat Caterers in Bayonne for over 35 years.
Connie loved to bake and delighted her family and friends with her delicious creations. She was an avid reader and found joy in playing cards & scrabble, sewing and needlepoint.
Connie and Bill traveled yearly to see family and friends. She loved visiting with her family in Montana, North Dakota and Minnesota.
The Goasevski’s had a large circle of friends and enjoyed socializing with them and having dinner parties.
Connie will be missed for all eternity by those whose lives she enriched. Left to cherish her memory are her dearly beloved husband of 67 years, William R. Goasevski; her daughter, Lorna Cantale; her sons-in-law, Anthony Cantale and Thomas Hooper; her half-sister, Clara Stahl; and three adored grandchildren, Amanda Cantale, Matthew Cantale, and Douglas Feliciano. She is predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Eleanor (Thompson) Orre; her son, William L. (Billy) Goasevski, her daughter, Darla Marie Hooper; and two sisters, Sharon Stratton and Sally Harris.
Visiting hours will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, April 21, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held in Connie's honor on Monday, April 22, at 10:30 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
To My Loved Ones
No reason for sorrow, no reason to cry.
Look toward tomorrow, and I’ll tell you why
My memories of you and yours of me are
filled with love and laughter forever.
You’ll see no reason to worry
nor question God
as to why you have lost me.
No reason to say goodbye.
It’s time for my journey home,
a beautiful and peaceful trip
that I must make alone.
So just be strong and keep a smile,
we’ll only be apart for a little while.
The love I’ve known is a very
special part, of the love I’ve shown
came straight from my heart.
I leave you now to go on my
way to a wonderful place
where we’ll be together someday.
No reason at all, as you can see.
I’m with my Lord,
He’ll take care of me.
